July 2021

Dear Residents, Families, and Visitors

We hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather we have experienced over the past few weeks, our residents certainly have, and with relatives spending more time in the homes the residents are enjoying a great reopening atmosphere.

As you are aware, visiting indoors has moved to unlimited “named visitors”, coming into effect as of Monday 19th July, however, please reach out to each of the respective care home managers for visitation changes and how this impacts our residents and families. Please rest assured that all staff will continue to be tested regularly, and wear the appropriate PPE. Our testing and PPE requirements will continue as normal for all visitors to the homes. If our residents wish to take a trip out with any nominated individual, this can be organized accordingly, as long as infection control protocols are in place. If for any reason you are unclear, please do speak to the Home Manager who will be happy to explain the situation and provide more detail. We still encourage families to make full use of the booth and garden visits, as we see this as the safest practice for the current environment. All visits must continue to be booked and planned ahead of time, and it remains our preference that visitors are vaccinated wherever possible, however, this is not a mandatory requirement.

We are extremely grateful for the vaccination program as this enables us to spend more time with loved ones and a chance for us to start enjoying some of the things we have been missing. Our residents very much enjoyed our plant potting experience this past month, and the outdoor tropical parrot visit. We look forward to the transition as we bring more entertainment back into the homes as re-opening efforts continue. This month residents enjoyed our local Ice cream events, and a trip to watch the Afternoon Variety Show at Blackburn Empire Theatre. Additionally, we look forward to future events such as Blackburn Hawks and Owls show and the Superstars activities provider.

We will continue to keep all of you in the loop every step of the way. Please feel free to contact our care teams at any time if you have any queries or concerns, and please continue to send your gratitude and thanks to info@crown-care.co.uk, and we will continue to do our best to respond as quickly as we can. We want to do anything we can to help you feel more at ease during this time.

We hope this message finds you well and thank you for allowing us To Welcome, To Care, and To Serve our residents and their families.
